Big News!

Hello everyone! Thank you for stopping by our new “blog.” Hopefully it will help us do a better job keeping you updated with what is going on in our lives. With that said I might as well get to the news you have all been waiting for:
JACI IS HAVING A BABY!
That’s right- she’s pregnant and we are expecting a child around October 11, 2007. We had suspicions in early February, and our suspicions were confirmed on Valentine’s day. We are very excited, and of course a little nervous too. We would appreciate your prayers for Jaci as she goes through the pregnancy and delivery, and of course for a healthy baby as well.
You may be wondering, “well are they coming home now?” The answer to that would be no. We signed a contract extension in November which means we are under contract with the Taejon Christian International School (TCIS) until June of 2008. We are hoping that the school will let Jaci teach a half-time load after she delivers the baby. We are still very happy with the jobs God has provided us with here. We believe He guided us here, and he will lead us elsewhere in His time.
In other news (realizing that other news may seem insignificant now), I will be leading a mission trip to Thailand from March 23 to April 1. I, along with 4 teachers and 15 students, will be going to the Grace Home Orphanage in Chang Mai, Thailand. Our team will be working with Korean missionaries who care for 20-some boys, and we will be doing VBS type ministry. Jaci was going to attend the trip, but due to the pregnancy she will be unable to join us. Fortunately her sister, JoAnna, will be coming to stay with her.
One last item of interest: I completed the Seoul International Marathon last Sunday. Ironically it was Jaci’s idea for us to train and run the marathon together, but again, the pregnancy held her out. It was exciting, but tiring.
